pJob Title: FPA Reporting ManagerbrbrLocation: Hamilton, with Hybrid workingbrbrCompensation: Competitive Salary plus Car Allowance, Annual Incentive PlanbrbrRole Type: Full time / PermanentbrbrRole ID: SF62193brbrAt Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a FPA Reporting Manager in our Rail sector.brbrThe role brbrAs FPA Reporting Manager within our Rail business, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you'll be key to the business.brbrDay to day, you will be a key team player supporting the FPA Director, responsible for all aspects of governance, control and reporting, ensuring key stakeholders are provided with accurate and timely financial data.brbrThe role will work closely with the Sector FPA team and the SLT in preparing the financial reporting deliverables, managing underlying governance procedures including; external and internal audits, risk reporting, preparation of technical accounting papers, legislative compliance and reviewing the implementation of accounting policies.brbrKey duties include:brbr* Overall management and responsibility for the production of rolling re-forecast, budget, monthly, quarterly, 6-monthly and annual reporting requirements.brbr* Liaise closely with wider finance teams to complete all management reporting, financial analysis and any ad hoc reporting requests.brbr* Responsible for assuring and maintaining, financial controls framework across the business unit, including ownership for coordination of governance returns to Sector Group.brbr* Finance lead for coordination of risk reporting submissions, ensuring risk register outputs are reflected in controls improvement plan.brbr* Review implementation of accounting policies and relevant accounting standards, ensuring financial controls are in place, compliant with IFRS15, IFRS16 and IAS 19brbr* Ensure that accounting judgements, including long term contract accounting judgements, are appropriately reviewed and documented.brbrEssential experience of the FPA Reporting Managerbrbr* Knowledge of financial accounting, reporting and legal standardsbrbr* Proven capability to positively influence multiple communities with the aim of ensuring focussed delivery whilst preserving individuals, teams along the waybrbr* Expert in financial accounting, systems and processes with a proven track record of control assurance and enhancementbrbr* Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications (including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) and financial modelling including Power Query.brbr* Experience of ERP systems and finance consolidation tools (Preferably SAP)brbr* Experience of working in large organisations with geographically spread stakeholdersbrbr37.5 hour working week. Full time offering Hybrid working (c3 days onsite per week)brbrQualifications for the FPA Reporting Managerbrbr* Recognised Professional Qualification e.g. (ICAS, ICAEW, CIMA or ACCA) with demonstrable PQE experience in a similar FPA rolebrbrSecurity ClearancebrbrThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS clearance level for this rolebrbrMany of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
