In your heart, you always knew you'd be a writer. Expression is what gives you a high. It's what drives you. Plus, the pay's not bad too :)
If you are a recent computer science graduate (successfully completed) with exceptional written communication, you could (must!) explore Information development/Technical writing as a career.
Here's a sneak peak into what it takes to be successful at this role.
You must be skilled enough to
* Ask the right questions to solicit critical information
* Articulate an idea or a concept so that your content preempts questions
* Know the difference between a misplaced modifier and a dangling modifier
* Think in English (we might do a Birbal on you)
* Cross your 't's and dot your 'i's
* Know how to use any combination of < > < /> ; { } and all characters that come in between - to interact with browsers, machines, and people
* Write less, but say more. Because writing is 1% inspiration and 99% elimination
You must be willing to
* Understand, simplify and embrace technology
* Take ownership of your tasks, see them to completion, and then take pride in the result
* Develop the DNA and grit required to be at loggerheads with mediocrity
* Put your heart and soul into enabling digital adoption and not get comfortable just towing the line.
* Grow a thick hide. Because it's going to be tough love
